The Northern State University was originally established in 1901 as the Northern Normal and Industrial School. Today, the university serves more than 2,200 students from across the States and around the world. Within an easy stroll from downtown Aberdeen, the Northern State University Campus boasts 72 acres (29 ha) of beautifully landscaped grounds and some historic buildings.
