Festival of Lights Nov 29 Celebrate the festive season at downtown Brookings' enchanting Festival of Lights. Live Nativity scenes, music and trolley rides happen at Nick's Park, followed by the opening of the Festival of Trees at the Community Cultural Center. Fun events happening at the Park & Rec Building include a pizza benefit and show, the day ending with the grand finale - the Parade of Lights at 7pm to Santa's House in Nick's Park.

Doors Open Brookings History & Garden Festival Apr 24 to Apr 25 Doors to historic and cultural sites around Brookings open to the public during the Doors Open festival in celebration of the area's history. An artist studio tour also opens doors to the immense creativity that Brookings artists have to offer. The Parks & Recreation Building plays host to the History and Garden Festival, featuring a flea market, workshops, food, a Doors Unhinged art display and giveaways.
