Adams Homestead & Nature Preserve
Doubling as both a nature and historical experience, this preserve spans 1,500 acres (607 ha) along the Missouri River and features more than 10 mi (16 km) of trails, native plants, a variety of birds and wildlife, and restored buildings that include the main homestead, a schoolhouse, church and log cabin. Hiking, biking and cross-country skiing are popular activities here.
