Brief Description:
Over 300 species of birds can be seen along the 38 sites that make up the Glacial Lakes and Prairies Birding Trail in South Dakota. The area is dotted with hundreds of large and small pothole lakes left behind by receding glaciers, resulting in prime conditions for waterfowl breeding. An entrance pass is required at all state park and recreation areas along the trail.
