Meridian Bridge
Built in 1924, this Yankton landmark was the first permanent bridge crossing the Missouri River. The bridge's "double decker" design makes it unique with one lane set above the other. It operated as a toll bridge until 1953.

Gavins Point Dam
Gavins Point Dam was built in 1957 and is located on the Missouri River, 4 mi (6.4 km) west of Yankton. Group tours of the power plant are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Friday to Sunday and holidays from 10am to 6pm. Off season tours for groups are available by appointment.
