Pierre Dorian's Grave
This is Pierre Dorian's grave site, featuring a memorial marker dedicated in 2002. Pierre Dorian was the first European settler in the Yankton area and he lived among the local Sioux people. He joined Lewis and Clark on their expedition in 1804 as an interpreter, and later returned to Yankton.
